Possible bike scam

Post by Bertiew »

I know it's not a firestorm but it's still a VTR. It's listed as item location being London, but in the advert it says the bike is in Ireland and he's quoting shipping it to England for £300 and not offerin people the chance of picking it up. http://bit.ly/1gaybvr

I have no clue, as I'm not UK/Ireland based... But, he does offer the buyer to arrange their own shipping... It's in the text...

That's true but only once the payment had been sent. Why has he not offered the buyer to pick up paying cash, also he hasn't given a location of where in Ireland it is. I may be wrong but it seems dodgy to me.

Although according to their rating and past history, they are not bad Ebayers?

I looked at the history too, and like I said I may be wrong, but I wouldn't dream of dealing with someone who wouldn't even offer me chance to see the bike before I parted with money.

Don't always go by that as it could be a hijacked account being used.

I would still have to view it prior to parting with any cash
