I'm thinking of changing my rear light.

I am looking at going down the road of two seperate lights like so:

nice to see its not the usual led change. which i am not a fan of any more after converting my gixer to led for my mate who was following one day say " when bright sunlight is shining on the back of ya bike i cant see your indicators or brake lights" .
When i had a look and compared to standard lights he was right.!

That does make a nice change I agree.
You'll probably need to cut and shape a piece of alloy plate (somewhere around 3mm thick) the shape of the old light, seeing as the original has the tail plastic's shaped around it. You should then be able to mount the new rear lights on the alloy plate. My only concern is you may find your new alloy plate is sitting back inside the tail plastic's to much, which would result in the new lights not being so visible as the original light. You may have to work out a way around that, but apart from that you should end up with a very nice modification.

Good luck with it if you go ahead, and don't forget to post up a photo or two

I will do when I eventually get round to doing the mod itself.
