Last night I had to refresh my memory with some info inside an old educational book that I used back in the day at collage. It's the third edition and lot of info in it is out of date now as technology has moved along. It got me thinking which version are they up to now and shall I buy a more up to date version. I then went onto eBay to search for one and was pleasantly surprised.....shocked actually to see the value of the version I currently have is worth more than the later versions. I can't remember exactly how much I paid for it originally back in the 80's but it was nowhere near the selling value of them now at £60 plus pounds. 8O I doubt eBooks will increase in value  I do like books and it will be a sad day when we loose them completely to the digital world.

Don't throw old books away unless you know their value first, you may be surprised. I have a feeling most books will rise in value over the years as they fade away from society along with the local libraries as we know them now. :(

Which educational technical books do colleges use today for Motor Vehicle Craft Studies? Do they even use real books any more  I would like to get a book similar to the one I have above but more orientated towards motorcycles. Does anyone know what books they recommend for doing, say a motorcycle engineering course like motorcycle maintenance and repair? I want something that is quite in depth and beyond the basics. Though something that begins with the basics and ends up being advanced would be perfect. A kind of reference manual. Which motorcycle engineering books do you have or can recommend?

It seems engineering books in general are expensive. I keep looking at buy the odd one as extra reference for the OU stuff I'm doing, but they're just to expensive. I'd sooner spend it on stuff for the storm!

Recently sold an archery book (The Grey Goose Wing) for £60 on Amazon. It was my dad's but I hadn't read it in years. Still wish I'd kept it......
