Is it ok to fit a k & n filter without changing jets ??? Vtr,s run abit rich a d I have a micron exhaust fitted.any advice ???

theres loads of info regarding aftermarket filters...most of it says that anything other than the standard filter causes running problems which are hard to tune out. When and if you do get it running right the likelyhood is you'll gain a little up top but dip in the midrange. Personally, I'm sticking with a standard filter.

Might be worth getting a dyno run so you can see what your air/fuel graph looks like

BMC road air filters seem to be used fairly commonly, as it's not quite as free-flowing as the K&N

I've got a K&N in mine along with a Factory pro ti kit, A&L stacks. Jetted as per instructions, I am happy with the result :thumbup:

I tried a k&N bike ran like a pig :thumbdown: farting popping missing.
I would leave the standard one in

It's like any of theses things they can be made to work depending on how much time and money you want to spend. Is it really worth it on an unmodified bike for a couple of ponies up top.
