Exhaust symmetry!

Post by Watty »

Me being a symmetry freak can anyone tell me should the outlets on cans be the same height from the floor? Left can is sitting 25mm higher than the right! Seem to remember seeing pics of Ck's bike when he had these cans on and one was higher than the other but is that the norm? Pissing me off now :(

Anything away from standard where you reposition the links and/or hangers is going to take some fiddling. Don't expect perfection everytime. If you want to mod expect a sod

Believe me mate I've just spent 3 hours fiddling loosening and tightening  . Putting standard hangers back on now as my scorpions used to sit right! Not having the best day ever!

Mine are slightly odd heights, I try and tell myself it's like the odd exhaust arrangements of the old 500 2 stroke bikes

Watty, I must admit I'm fussy about things like that too. I've never measured mine from the ground though :) I just set mine so they look right from behind, so they look level by eye. Having high levels makes that easier as I can use the number plate as a level line. Scorpions in my experience are pretty good from the go for being close to level.

Put 1 on, use a stick and cut it from floor to a point on that can and then replicate the other side. It works , but 1 of mine sticks out further sideways!!!! I did run mine yesterday with no cans on, wombles it was awesome. and it was 1700 so no probs about being to early or too late.
