So these are the bits I purchased from david Silver to do the job with.

According to the parts diagram below these are all the parts I needed to do the job. 1 metal collar (22), 1 grommet (1) and 1 screw (20).

But when I had fitted the grommet to the bodywork, inserted the metal collar and fitted the screw and tightened it all up I was left with this space shown in the picture below. The screw has tightened the metal collar hard up against the rear subframe and the bodywork with the grommet fitted to it can slide sideways on the metal collar by about 5 to 6mm.

Can someone explain if that gap should be between the lower edge of the head of the screw and the grommet and this is normal or am I missing something here.
