Powder coating

Hi all
Couple of questions on powder coating.
Does anyone know how much it roughly costs to have a pair of wheels powder coated ?
Any names of places in the northwest that can do it?
Is powder coating the way forward or is respraying with 2k paint a better option
(Im no professional but I can spray using my spray gun/compressor)
Whats the finish like. I've never had anything powder coated before.

Powder coating IMO is OK but not as hard wearing as a lot make it out to be, though I think that may be down to the quality of the powder coating done which is reflected in the price.

I'm just about to paint my frame by brush with a two pack epoxy resin paint which is the same as a lot of vehicle manufacturers would use on things like painted wheels. Not for the inexperienced painter though if you want it look good. I don't think a 2k spray paint as what is used on bodywork would last as long on wheels. Powdercoat I think would be the better option there.

Had mine done, they look great. £90 a pair round here, and it is tough stuff, I used to make welding stands which we had powdercoated and you could hit it with a hammer and it would just dent the metal.

Where you getting the 2k epoxy resin from cybercarl . I looked on fleebay and could only see stuff to paint ya floor with
I`ve just referbed some alloys for my brother and was actually shocked at the finish i managed to achieve . Super high gloss black using gloss black from a can with 2k lacquer over the top . Think i`ll have a bash at my wheels myself and if i ever learn how to post pictures i`ll put some on
