Front indicators - ideas?

Post by ltdslipdiff »

Hi y'all. So the fairings are all back and re-painted, just need to find the time to start putting it back together now! The original front indicators were both pretty tired looking so I've decided to replace them altogether. So what I have now are just the two awkward looking holes in the fairings. I bought mini carbon-look led ones a while back but don't think they'll do the job. I've seen the carbon flush-mount ones but I'm not gone on them TBH. Any other suggestions? I do like the idea of flush-fit, especially the not having to go cutting a freshly painted fairings !

Thanks in advance !

The only advice I can give you is not to by cheap Chinese ones as they wont last and you spend more time changing bulbs than indicating.

 funny that Carl, we were only talking about them this week at my Dad's.

My tip is, make sure you get something that can be seen by other road users, I know looks are important, but so is safety,

Chris.

In my opinion the best thing to do is what I did to my 98 FireBlade which had the same horible ones as standard, look on ebay or similar for original Honda indicators around the 2002 / 2004 era off a CBR FireBlade or CBR 600 and use them, they look much better and are large enough to be safe :D you'll just need to do a bit of a re-wire at the plugs, nothing too hard though
Just make sure they are Original Honda ones, there are plenty of coppies out there but they are rubbish, you'll pay more, but they'll last for ever, plus what price do you put on safety :?:

I picked up a pair of these and filled the hole in completely.
No adjustment or cutting of fairings

Got these from EBay .

Just fit a big washer behind. They are LED and reasonably bright.

Fitted LED relay as well.
