hi this is my first visit to this forum and I just want to get any ideas on a set of hi leaval link pipes for my 98 firestorm ??????
do I need headers cos my pipes don't seam to split ?????
I think a set of hi leavel pipes and set of cans will really show my bike off to her full extent any ideas my freands

Hi level cans look good but unless you get a good st they will burn your boots .

I've not had any issues with my Scorpion high levels. -

I have size 12 feet, and I've been ok with the hi level two brothers, but I've heard of people melting there boots on some lesser quality hi level linkpipes..... :thumbdown:

One of them is !!! Ha ha

Like I said in my other post you need a good set of hi levels and kevs scorpion s are a good set

The red arrow in the photo below shows where the right hand link pipe is clamped to the headers, so your standard can's (slicencer) should be clamped on at that point.

It's sort of self-adjusting. Once the bits of your boot heels that rest on the link pipes melts away, there's enough clearance. And your boots are lighter, too :thumbup:
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Welcome to the forum roy. No need to go rushing into replacing the exhaust. Do some research first and work out what you want. Best if you can hear some cans in the flesh too.

Mine have the "goose neck" link pipes and you can't move your boots back on the pegs, the only prob is that my toes of my boots rub the floor on aggressive lean angles ( not that often) :lol: I agree they do look great. make sure that you bolt the link pipes at the bottom mounts too and not just by the rear hangers as they flex a bit.Image
