Another tyre thread...

Post by Jimmieec »

Hi all I know this has been probably answered a million times already but what tyres would you guys recommend. I'm a new member and need to get my posts up so I can get stuck in on some of those bargains in the for sale section, hence the new topic!

My bike is mainly used for commuting into work so I would like a hard wearing tyre. It also has to be good in the wet. I've got some Avon storms on at the moment and I have zero confidence in it when the weather turns. As soon as it gets wet it's all over the place.

Not gonna be putting these new rubbers on the track or be going mad on them. I'm going to buy a spare set of wheels which I'm planning of putting some sticky rubber on.

Any suggestions guys?

Jim

Think I may have found a winner, not cheap but can't find a bad word being said about them. Have you run them for long? How many miles can you expect?

Hello Jim, Only done 600 miles on these but have used them before on a GSXR 1000 and found them good I paid £230 for them that was to loose wheels, As for how many miles they last I don`t know, There is a write up in September performance bike mag about tyres

I've heard good things about the conti road attack's, go for a good quality road biased tyre, unfortunately they're not cheap, i'm tempted to go for a set of pilot road 2's next time around.
HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!
