Something to do on a rainy day

Pooring with rain out today so I decided to put my new metal polishing kit to work

I was well chuffed with the results, on my first attempt, almost like chrome !!

I made the exact same decision a few weeks back ...... let's just say after 9 hours it looks like something out of the scrap bin at work ......
I will have another go but I seriously under estimated the work involved :oops:

Mine were pretty bad to be honest 16 yrs worth a dirt and corrosion .
But the initial polishing wheel just about scratched the surface .
I am determined to get them finished but also aware the stainless steel used was of poor quality

I will wet n dry my pipes before I polish I think, that will give the polish a chance to work

i like the meguairs metal cleaner

I used Pro Max metal polishing kit, which has like course cutting wheels right down to just buffing wheels,comes with the different grade polishes it was 26 quid on the bay
I got auto sol for when im cleaning the stuff , like general cleaning on the bike

i used to use auto sol until i tried meguairs, i think it lasts longer and gives a better shine
i persanally would coat these in it now :thumbup:
