Taking microns apart

Post by popkat »

Has anyone striped their Micron cans ?, mine has a small blow at the front where the rubber seal is, going to pull the sleeve off and seal it but can't see any rivets or bolts holding the can together, there's a small Micron badge held on by 2 small rivets at the back of the cans, is there something under that badge ?... I've not had a chance to have a good look yet, just a quick glance, but if someones already pulled some apart saves me having to work it out, cheers.

Taking microns apart

That's super easy to do.Take the can itself off the bike so its easier to work with. There's going to be a single alen head screw just inside the exhaust its self. You may need a flashlight to see it as everything is going to be black from the exhaust. Once that single screw is out, the whole can will come apart with a little work. Should just slide apart.

I think it depends on whether it's the race can with Red logo or the road legal baffled cans. The race cans I believe are simple but not the road legal type.

Cheers, saves me searching for it, I'd seen other microns with external bolts but not these type before.

Carl they're the race cans so should be easy peasy.
