Re: US/UK VTR Project.
Am I correct in assuming this is a different regulator rectifier frome stock?[/URL[URL=http://s290.photobucket.com/user/chrisgreer23/media/1998%20Honda%20VTR1000F/20150225_171632_zpsn3lf2ry0_edit_1424933252004_zps6ltmeurg.jpg.html]

Yup - stock unit on early VTRs is an unfinned unit - later Hondas were finned but not that type (cheapy Chinese?). Try and go for a mosfet upgrade.

Mainstream Mosfet R/Rs mainly have different connectors and are marked FH > http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... ty#p351482

Is there anything I should do to the frame now that it's free of the rest of the bike?

This bike is being sold. Every piece except for the frame. Im picking up my new bike in the morning (see bike below) I cant wait. I will also be fitting a 19l tank and a Penske rear shock . Once all that is together, I have a piece of custom work that I havnt mentioned yet (insert evil laugh).
