This is another late April fool right?
If you've over-cooked it, just lean it over more.

I would hope so as that looks scary for a bike...... if that thing came unscrewed you would be......

Why would it come loose? The sump plug doesn't!8541Hawk wrote:I would hope so as that looks scary for a bike...... if that thing came unscrewed you would be......
SH#T HAPPENS!!!!!!!!
Re: this correct size
It's just that this costs nearly £40 and what are you really getting that you don't already have? How hard is to slip on a marigold and use an old washing up bowl to collect the oil? Also you won't get the early warning that something is about to fall apart that a magnetic plug gives you. The benefit you would get by putting the money towards say a good set of pads would give far more gain.

The stock sump plug is a hex nut that you use a wrench to tighten against a crush washer.Watty wrote: Why would it come loose? The sump plug doesn't!
The part you listed uses a knurled knob that you tighten by hand.
I know which one sounds more reliable to me.....

Re: this correct size
But can you wax it
I don't see the point really especially at that price. Unless one don't have a spanner or socket but then you would need one to put it on in the first place.

This does have a hex on it and a copper crush washer .8541Hawk wrote:The stock sump plug is a hex nut that you use a wrench to tighten against a crush washer.Watty wrote: Why would it come loose? The sump plug doesn't!

The knurled bit is just a cap that stops dirt getting into the one way valve .
I have the plug bit in a draw and still waiting on Seb to send me the rest of it .

You will still dribble oil when you remove the oil filter .chric wrote:Because i can do oil changes myself then with ease and not dribbling oil with risk of getting it where i pull bike out of garage that and i want one.and i have brembo pads

I presume this gadget works on the same principle as an airline valve, it only allows the oil to flow when the drain-off hose valve is connected,
