Hope someone can enlighten me. I bought a vtr. The previous guy had it for 4 years and didn't make any changes. One of the was the brake discs. I'm not sure what discs these are and whether I should change them for something I know of! Anyone like to take an educated guess on the brand of these discs?
I think the internal area may have been painted like the calipers....

Cheapy chinese wavy
Search on fleabay for Honda brake disks wavy - and look for ones with holes instead of slots.
While your searching have a look for stainless steel hex replacements for your rusty slotted brake pin fingy.

Wow, someone's been doing their best Marquez impersonation judging by the tyres! So the brakes must be working well I'd say.

I done search and the most likely ones are viper. Can't see Chinese ones which look similar. They do work but didn't want to trust cheap ones incase they become undone while flying around a corner!

If you're not sure and have doubts then get replaced with OEM or EBC. Give the calipers a service, new pads - so you know here you're at.

Either way they are looking a bit worn. What condition are the pads in? It would be a good idea to have the disks off, give them a scrub up with some wet n dry or scotchbright, de-glaze them. Also do your bobbins at the same time. A nut and bolt through each one, one by one, with some brake cleaner works them loose. As long as the disks are not warped your good to go. Do keep an eye on them though in case they are Chinese as they have a habit of warping. And be careful torquing up the disk mounting bolts they can snap.

The pads seem to be looking good but most likely will refurb the calipers soon.
Thanks for the advice. Will give them a good clean when I get round to the calipers

The bobbins look to be covered in paint these should be free and actually turn if your getting any vibration then try freeing of the paint so they can turn but obviously don't use any kind of lube just brake cleaner
