Where to Buy Rear Braided Brake Line in UK
As a lot of you will be aware I have fitted Fireblade 954 front calipers, M/C and HH pads to my Storm. I put 300km on it at the weekend (ANZAC Day) and the brakes felt good when the day started out. I must say though that as the bike got more kms on it the front brakes got better and better. Most of the riding was twisty and tight with short straights to accelerate from one corner to the next (i.e. Macquarie Pass, Broughton Pass, etc). By the end of the ride it would stop on a sixpence.
That was just by the way. The issue I have now is that when I bought the bike it already has Teflon front brake lines on it, but the rear brake line is still the old rubber part. Most of the things I can find on Ebay are selling complete brake line kits - front and rear. I only need the rear.
Does anyone know of a good brake line supplier in the UK. Good price, well made brake lines and to the correct length. The rear brake line is on show and I don't want anything that is too long where I have to try and hide some of its length. It's easier to hide brake excess line at the front where is can be concealed behind the fairing and between the front forks.
Any help in this would be gratefully appreciated.

Venhill lines have swivelling banjo's IIRC. I wish I had gone for them rather than the Wezmoto's.

Same here, bought goodridge for the brakes 5 years ago and they now look sh1t, braid cover is yellowing and the fittings corroding.cybercarl wrote:Venhill lines have swivelling banjo's IIRC. I wish I had gone for them rather than the Wezmoto's.

The Venhill clutch line however looks brand new even though it's only 6 months newer than the goodridge.
I'd definitely buy Venhill again

It's alright. I buy most of my stuff from overseas (not in Oz). Stuff here is double the price usually of overseas stuff. Bits from the US are cheaper but the postage is horrendous. I priced a 2" gauge from there the other night. It cost $12.50 and the postage was $53.40 - figure that out.cybercarl wrote:That's a long way to go and collect. The OP is in Sydney![]()

That's why I buy from the UK, usually from David Silver and Ebay bits and pieces. Postage is reasonable.
