Hello all owned the Bike for about a month now I had to sell my last bike to pay for central heating for the house about 14 years ago (who needs heating ?) mortgage up time to get a toy asked the wife if I could get a TVR as she weren't keen on being a pillion she said ok as long as its blue to my surprise ! any way the bike turned up and I explained that I might have dyslexia and its nearly blue any way I’ve got away with it. Before anyone asks I live in West Wales I do have one question I bought the bike online with out seeing it just by photos I have measured from the rear peg to the wheel rim left is 120mm right is 100mm is it of set for the chain or has it been down the road and something bent?

I'll start with the later...that is not blue it is Teal...the most hated of all the colours...

Various nicknames such as devils diarrhea...However Watty will be along shortly to defend it as hes deluded to...

Nah only joshing a Storms a Storm well done for choosing it.

Take a bit of getting used to at first but persevere then get ready to spend loads modding it...

Re the odd lenghts...It could be as simple as a miss tightend chain, If it's been tightened up wrong it would pull one side in. Check the condition of chain & sprockets. Chian adjustment is a bit odd on these as you have to set it with an allowance that it will tighten up when you sit on it...Or get someone to sit on it whilst you check it...After you have set the slack correctly check wheel alingment.

I can't really see the rear wheel would sit off-set in the swinging arm. Mind you if the bike had taken a tumble onto one side, I would imagine the rear footrest hanger could easily be pushed into towards the rear wheel. If that has happened it would probable be the can (silencer) that took the hit pushing the footrest hanger with it. If that was the case the seat sub-frame would have got twisted. As Mac suggested, check wheel alignment. Using a straight edge is more accurate, but string can be used instead.

welcome to the club, TVR, VTR!!!!!!!!!!! very similar in more ways than just the lettering............ the sound and the basic grin inducing simplicity

I think it should be symmetrical from pegs to wheel, just from basic common practice that you need to be sitting on the centreline of the bike, so seat, pegs and bars should all be equally spaced from the wheel ctr line. but I haven't looked at mine to check that yet

That is what was basically going through my mind Al.

I did try to get a measurement on my bike, but couldn't really as I have high level cans fitted, so they're in the way. May be someone with low level cans (or original) could take a measurement so we know for sure

Get up to 60mph and let go of the bars , if it pulls to one side Sit your butt in the middle of the seat lol then try again.
If it still pulls to one side give it a good checking over .

In all honesty M8tey, you need to check out that suspension and frame, linkages ..
Storms are serious powerful motorcycles and need to be set up right.. its your health
your life even.. so get and pay to have it checked if you can.. it is the best thing to do.. an
MOT Station..could help there.. if there is a doubt I wouldn't ride it until you are happy ..

Thanks for all the welcomes Ref the offset I am thinking any damage to the swing arm would show up on the tyre and it is stable at speed I am thinking its been over onto the right side as there is signs on the indicator the cans have been changed and that may not have been just for the fruity sounds the peg carriers do not look bent but where they bolt to the seat fame there are small cracks on the top of the nuts. Jobs done so far oil, filter and spark plug change swap hand grips for standard ones, datatool gear indicator.
