Newbie from Kent

Hi all,

Well after about a 4 year layoff I'm back on a bike due to operation stack! I've put up with 3 weeks of 1/2 hour journeys taking 2 hours but with no end in sight I decided a bike was the way forward as I can't afford a helicopter and didn't want a camper van :)

Always liked the FireStorm and in a previous life I had a brand spanking new SP2 among other things

There aren't a tremendous amount for sale at any given time it would seem - certainly within reasonable travel distance - but I ended up finding the perfect one for me in the dealers I pretty much used to use for all my bikes previously anyway!

I was thinking deeply about it as compared to a few others - a 900 Hornet, another 90's Blade or possibly a 2003 R6 that caught my eye locally - when they re-introduced Stack at 1pm or so on Wednesday and 45 minutes later I owned this and the owner kindly delivered it to me that very night about 6.30 pm. I should warn you I do look very young in the photos :)

2003 so the bigger tank I believe, 3,000 miles, fresh MOT and service and a set of brand new Pirelli Angel's in pretty much my favourite colour although I was looking at mostly Yellow one's before I found this.

Ridden it the last couple of days and despite feeling like a bit of a newbie it's starting to come back to me.

Anyway, thanks for letting me in :)

Cheers,

Phil

Welcome phil, lovely colour, very low mileage, looks like new.
Have you heard about potential cam chain tensioner problems ?, I know it's low miles but age can take it's toll, consider modifying the standard ones or fitting manual tensioners. Check the workshop section for info.

I had seen the CCT's mentioned - seem to be a perennial Honda weakness! I will check it out more thoroughly.

Thanks!

Phil
