Trev's NZ VTR

Post by legendlives »

I've had this a few weeks now.
Image
First mod was to remove the hideous back-rack and fit some shorty levers:

Then a whole day in my life polishing the exhaust system:

Next mod is a set of HEL brake & clutch lines (already in stock!), and a clean-up as I go.

I've also removed the carbon rear hugger (it doesn't fit very well, and the tyre has worn a hole in it) and plan to make a polished aluminium replacement. I'll keep posting as the mods come!

Nice. They are a fun bike to mod.

One day we should have a NZ ride.

Where did you get the HEL lines? I need some braided lines for my partners Hornet.

HEL lines from GSS Performance in Penrose. While-you-wait service and very helpful.

Damn fine idea.
There's another VTR here in Howick (Cadbury64). Would be good to put faces to names/drink beer/ride somewhere :)

Bloody shiny pipes lasted about 30 seconds. They now have a nice bluey tinge!

Make mental note - don't ride the bike, it makes it dirty......

HEL brake and clutch lines now fitted and bled with nice clean fluid.
I went for gold brake lines as the Yellow ones clash a bit too much :eek2 and they match the gold calipers quite well. Also went for full length front hoses rather than the original split lines.

Sorry the pictures are pretty sh1t - taken in a dark garage on a cheap phone........

I want to join in too! Although I won't be on a Storm :(

Here for a good time, not a long time.

I have a pillion seat. We can miss the ride for a ride rule. In fact that's a must.
