Ok

I decided I wanted to clean my headers as they were rotten!

I got to work having seen some amazing results from a couple of other guys. The end result is by no means professional but it is the first time and next time will be better!

And polished.....

Thats the lot. Used a wire cup end on a drill to start. Then used Policraft steel and stainless steel polishing kit from halfords.

Thanks mate! Got a little annoyed around the welds and other fiddly bits...will be investing in a few drill ends next time! So I am sure it will take less time and look better.

+1 on the GT 85, let them cool down and spray on. Smokes a bit on start up a few days later though. Great work though too.

Ride and then wash it, apply GT85 when its cold. When you re start up it will smoke a bit but be ok. GT85 is great on wheels, plastics, locks, ign switches, everything but tyres, mirrors and brakes.

Great job there Rob :D I know how much work is involved to get them to that standard, well done
They will go a goldie/cooper colour when you use them again, but they will look heaps better than they did, and I actually like the look.
I just wipe mine over with some WD40 on a rag when I think about it. I think I'm addicted to the smell now when it burns off at start up :shh:

Chris.

I wouldn't apply it to the seat either, unless you wanna crush your balls when you hit the brakes..... :eek2
