Put vac hose on wrong place now won't run

Post by paulb75 »

Please help had tank off to hide hid ballasts between frame and air box and I put vac hose on tank breather instead of on the petcock now it will start cold on choke but as soon as I touch throttle it dies thanks in advance for assisting in my stupidity!

Greetings

Make sure the vacuum hose is on the fuel tap connection at the back pointing sideways NOT on the one pointing down. Plus if you turned the tap off turn it back on again.

Take a fuel hose off and suck very gently on the vacuum hose - does fuel flow?

It's a good job you didn't post pet c ock. It wasn't a typo it was the forum swear filter. petcock would be better

Can you confirm that this is how you have it connected.

You may want to check that the vaccum hose is connected to the rear cylinder alongside the rear carb rubber. It may have come off there in which case it would not draw a vaccum.
