Track rubber 180 or 190?

So I know wets are only 190 but for the dry has anyone got any thoughts on width?
190s are popular but for the power the Storm puts out I'd have thought that was too wide. Better to go 180 and take advantage of the handling.

190 is designed for a 6" wide wheel, Storm has a 5.5" wheel. You could try a 180/60/17 which a lot of bikes race with, it'll raise the rear a little and you could get some good used race tyres in those sizes.. I'd stick with 180 weather it's 55 or 60 profile.

Meh, forget widths / power and all that rubbish
I use superstock scrubs on the gsxr 1000 that are 180/60/17. Can't beat em.
No issues at all with wheel spin or cornering.

In fact I've got a set spare in the garage I've used for 2 track days. I usually take them off after 2 and sell on eBay.
I'll bring them to Cadwell if you like, you can try em for free. It's usually £12 per tyre to swap at track side.

I'll be bringing a part-worn pair of Racetecs that were in the SP2.
Ok on the roads but more suited to track action,so I put a new pair of Sportsmarts on instead.

What brand/model?
A mate's sorted me out with a set of wets so at this rate I'll be set for the whole of next year.

They're Pirelli Supercorsa SC.
They do the 'road' compound which is SP.
The SC is track compound.

When I changed from a 55 wall to a 60 I had to remove the hugger & had to purchase a chain guard
I never thought it would of been such a big difference in diameter, but it can be an issue
It's going to raise the rear 9mm, so you'll feel it. I find it tips in a bit quicker

Rear 190/55, front 120/70. Std for a 2 is 190/50, but I prefer the faster turn-in; they're a long old bus and quite heavy so anything to speed up steering is a good thing.
I was going to bring them in case of a puncture along with some other spares in case of a drop, and a few Storm spares in case anyone else does- levers, bars footrests, etc.
I could sell, though, tbh I haven't got the space to store them properly.
