SPAM

Post by SILVTR »

Hi All,

I don't know who to tell, but I got what looks like spam from admin on this forum. While I'd love to download "hot bunnies" at will, I'm afraid that my boss doesn't like me to do it.

The mail says "please help us, visit our new website" and then gives a link to a url which seems to have no relevance to vtrs, or even biking.

Maybe it's genuine and admin wants to share this with us, but I suspect it's those clever teenagers in action again.

The e-mail did not come from me!! ( admin )

The webhost company was moving the site onto a new server last week so I wonder if while that was going on it allowed someone in. I've updated the message board with all the latest security patches so I'll try and keep a closer eye on goings on in the next wee while.

P.S. another couple of message boards that I run were hacked last week so it may be related.

I knew it wasn't any of you guys. I work in an internet security company (the world's biggest, no less), so we're always watching out for bogey stuff. You'd think our firewall would have caught it, eh?

Yeah I got this as well, do we not have a "tell admin" function somewhere ?

If not could we not put one in? Luckily I just deleted this anyway.
