Project resurrection

G'day fellas,

Been lurking for about 6 months. Decided I should put up a few pics of a vtr that was given to me as a wreck in boxes. It was in poor condition, forks needed a rebuild as did the rear shock, chain and sprockets were rusted solid. All fairings were smashed..

Soo anyway, I stripped her down completely to just motor and bear frame. Painted a few things sent the rear shock off to be overhauled and stripped down the forks. Painted the fork lowers black and reassembled the forks with all new bushings and seals. Drilled out the top clamps and fitted some renthal super bike bars. Got it back to a point where it could roll around and relocated the oil cooler.

Front mounted a sv1000 radiator, fitted some venhill braided brake and clutch lines. Wired in a koso digital speedo this arvo and will take her down to registration tomoz.

Plan is to ride it to work for the rest of the summer and when it starts getting cold I'll do a custom subframe and rear end and also fit a vfr800 25litre tank.

She isn't the prettiest but a hell of a lot better than it was and for free I can't complain.

that looks great, see if you can get some frosts/eastwood satin black radiator paint over there, or a similar product, and paint the sv rad to blend in with the rest, i'd also keep the current tank, as the vfr tank doesn't fit that well and looks to big. the blue against the painted frame looks good, I did something similar years ago, I have a picture knocking around somewhere.
keep up the good work buddy....

It took me all of about an hour to wire it up and solder it. Was simple as.

Looking good & some nice ideas to pinch to boot.

Had a quick look for the paint on ebay.co.uk.

There are similar products available, but not Rust-oleum

Also been looking at the dash, is it a Koso DB03-R Multi Function Motorcycle Digital Dash ?

Seen one here.

I normally don't like "streetfighter" storms but that looks good. Impressed with the dash, less than 150 notes. Seems cheap to me for what it does. Good value.

Nope, none there either, unless it goes by another title.
No results were found for your search "truck bed coating"
It was only a quick ebay search though.

Anyone know if it's like a sandpaper texture? Touch it with a polishing duster & your there for hours trying to get the lint off?
