Greetings one an all,

New member here from Somerset, born in Devon but now just live over the border. Acquired my little project bike on tuesday night, was in the market for a new Vtwin as I really enjoyed my time on an sv650 just wanted something with a bit more poke and something that represented value for money.

So far ive only test ridden the bike but it felt great and just what im looking for.. I would post some pics up but its already in bits as ive been pulling a datatool alarm off it this evening.

Next up is the breaks, is it normal to have quite alot of travel on the front lever? ive read that the brakes do need keeping clean to keep them in tip top so il prob strip them out anyway..

:D

If anyone lives down this way then deffo shout and maybe we can go for a ride & share tips!!

Welcome aboard

Regarding the front brake lever, I guess it depends how much you call "quite a lot of travel", it shouldn't come back and touch the bars :) May be there is still some air in your front brakes.
You are correct though, keeping the front calipers in good serviceable condition does help a fair amount.

Chris.
