ok..out of wits here on how to rack up 50 posts so here is my latest feeble attempt at it.

Reckon why not talk about the plight of a stormrider here in pu'ny lil Singapore.

Not many Storms can be found...they are very few and far between but I am one of those proud owner....years gone by...and many more newer machines are out but I just love the Storm cos it is 'old skool' ....plain NA carburator and without too much mambo jumbo hi-tech factors.....


Always one of the 1st to 'take-off' from red lights and no looking back lol.

parts are a pain cos the local Honda agent in Singapore, Boon Siew no longer have them....often have to ship them from abroad...Australia best cos it is cheaper to ship and faster to arrive. US parts...lol they are halfway round the globe but still an option. UK...great wealth of parts and expertise but alas ...the pound sterling and shipping can really hurt....I am not exactly minted and am just an ordinary guy with the usual wants

getting the Storm up to speed will be a journey for sure...we not blessed with space on this tiny island we call Singapore...I do not have a personal garage to store and work.

manual cam chain tensioner done and out of the way and that is a peace of mind....looking forward to receiving my lightened flywheel before I can work on it.....in theory...will love how much faster the rpm goes up....now just waiting for the stealth sprox in 520 pitch to be avail again in stock.

Wish I could get my hand on the 525 pitch for the stealth sprokets front and real cos I am really eyeing the DID zvmx2 525 sprockets. On spec is it as good as the heavier 530 sprocket on tension and strength....perhaps a tad lighter...I think rotational and moving mass weight reduction will help a lot in the long run

So far acquired items:

1. Electronic relay kits for headlights;
2. reg/rec mosfet FH020A kit;
3. healtech speedohealer
4. 2 post '01speedo/dash gauges;
5. 1 post '01 fuel tank;
6. 1 '04 wire harness;
7. 1 '97 wire harness;
8. 1 pair 04 vfr clipons;
9. 1 pair GPI radiators in black;
10.1 sw-motech side racks;
11. 1 pair free e21 panniers;
12. 2 sets of ICM cos my current one is leaking goo lol
13. 1 snapjack V2 for the road

items to look for:

1. electric water pump;
2. renntec grab rail to cut n weld;
3. spare headlight to operate and convert to twin hid projector;
4. front fender with extension and rear hugger in carbon fibre finish
5. varadero fuel tap for that extra ease of mind;
6. clear double bubble windscreen;
7. hrc throttle tube

Yep that is taking the pith... 6 posts when all that could have been in one post...

They would be if the lights were any good, apparently the output on them is very poor. Nowt spendding more money on them for better bulbs won't cure or better still spend your money on an Eastern Bever upgrade for the std unit...

already got the eastern beaver relay to maximise the headlight

dogs bol***ks! they do not deliver the twin headlight to my region and refunded me..Sigh!

Wow Singapore We need pics. Come on...lets see the bike then. so you have gone for the extra extra ultra lightened flywheel then of 4lb 4 oz. Have you got access to a rattle gun as you will need it to get the flywheel bolt off. That's the safest way to do it. Don't go trying to jam the drive sprocket or holding the clutch basket or some other method like lump of wood between the rear wheel and frame and using a big breaker bar on the bolt as IMO that puts a lot of strain on engine components. Man...your in for a surprise when you ride the bike with that on.

the flywheel just arrived the other day...no garage here for me so am gonna get a free day to the motorshop to fix it.

was humbled and pleasantly surprised to get it at 4 pound 4...was thinking i would be lucky to get it even at 5 but bless the maker...he is an awesome guy.

Eezee29, we have a few rules for good reasons, please take note:-
