Just the time of year to get used to a new bike.....
Take it easy, if you're used to il4's the engine braking can catch you out in slippery conditions.
But it's an easy bike to ride gently in ice and snow, I found. When standard, anyway.......

Thanks thats why mine is staying parked up at the moment. The last owner asked a mechanic to check it for him because he was worried about the same thing and said it was ok

It's only ok if it has manual cct's fitted.

which covers installing manual CCTs amongst other things that need attention on the VTR.

I managed it with the instructions on this site and i had never done anything like that before.Just remember to turn it over manually before you hit the start button.Took me all day though.

welcome to the club.
if you put your location into your details you might find someone local could be able to help when you get stuck on the CCT, but the instructions are good and if you post on here you will get support or a phone call to talk you through it.
