Re: Quickshifter arrived
did lots of (Google) research and all reviews are favourable; easy to install and programmable from a smart phone - appealed to my OCMD... lol

You'll enjoy that, and I suspect you'll be copied by several owners after you report back on how it goes...
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Re: Quickshifter arrived
quite unnecessary to be honest, but I, too, expect to enjoy it

Oh, no, not unnecessary at all, you'll very quickly become addicted and from then on it's necessary.
I'm trying to find a downshift blipper for the SP2, which will be the next chapter in my series of not-modifications.

Re: Quickshifter arrived
not sure how you can make a downshift blipper unless you have throttle-by-wire as you essentially have to open the butterflies slightly and the only means for doing that is via the throttle cable... Good luck in your quest nonetheless, would be quite ok with b eing wrong on this one...

I’ve also been looking at one of these ever since I rode a MT10 with a quick shifter look forward to hearing how it is once fitted.

That'll be why I can't find one for sale!mik_str wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2018 7:44 pm not sure how you can make a downshift blipper unless you have throttle-by-wire as you essentially have to open the butterflies slightly and the only means for doing that is via the throttle cable... Good point.
I'll have to find a way to fit an electronic throttle first- wonder what could be adapted?

Re: Quickshifter arrived
RSV4 /Tuono maybe? Their latest models have ride by wire throttle control along with an up and down quickshift.

Re: Quickshifter arrived
It can be done, but the engineering (mostly time and money) required IMO make it a still birth. Best to sell the SP and get a bike so-equipped if you really want an auto-blipper. Of course, the satisfaction of getting such a system up and running (on your SP) would be priceless but what a task!tony.mon wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2018 11:19 pmThat'll be why I can't find one for sale!mik_str wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2018 7:44 pm not sure how you can make a downshift blipper unless you have throttle-by-wire as you essentially have to open the butterflies slightly and the only means for doing that is via the throttle cable...
