So I've a 98 Storm making her a nubile 20 years old...and the original wheels, although looked after, were starting to show signs of winter's salt pitting.

So looked at getting them powder coated but then a friend suggested hydro-dipping.
That could give unique looks/effects which would cost soooo much more.
(I popped to local Dream Machine who quoted as much as a new belly pan to paint it black!)

So I went for both wheels to be dipped in a yellow/black with silver metallic specks and the rear hugger & belly pan to have a simple (but effective) carbon effect.

£250. Lush

the carbon effect look has come a long way with hydro dipping......

now thats the very job for my supermoto wheels .

iv a set of ramair tubes i want done in carbon and that belly pan finish looks great

Never thought of that for deciding what to do with my wheels... brilliant

an option i hadnt considered either. how tough is it? at much of a risk of damage when tyres fitted - or chain lube cleaned off?
