I'm trying to find out how much it cost to road tax a 247cc (250) motorcycle back in 1978 :?:

Can any of you, who are far more expert than I am, find any information on this. I have tried but so far have found nothing.

Thanks,

Chris.

Apparently the collecting of old tax discs is called...velology (the collecting of tax discs). This is an ideal hobby for anyone finding stamp collecting that little bit too exciting.

What a mad site that is... http://poplargreg.com/taxdiscs/taxdiscs2/indexdiscs.htm

I can see the attraction of getting a repo tax disc for an old vintage bike but I dont think the Ole Storms count as vintage just yet...

Funnily enough i had a July 1969 tax disc delivered today from that very Gentleman! He can do any year you want with any LVLO details. He does three and posts them through on approval, with loads of info sheets, including each years costs, all for £12 delivered.

It would seem I put too many words in my searches :) although I tried quite a few different variations. Most of the links that turned up on Google for me were for cars only
