Proper Job..........at last

Well, after the last 4 years of trying At last I've finally got myself a proper, permanent job. No more short, over paid contracts for me (until I get paid off of course). The secret of my success??? My Firestorm of course. Went for an interview on Wednesday there, sat talking to the guy about the job for about 5 mins and then noticed this weeks copy of MCN sticking out from under his jacket lying on the chair. That was it, a quick reference to the MCN and off we went. Turns out he was a ducati man (far too much money by all accounts) but was looking for a change to something less radical. I think i've got him thinking about the firestorm. So there, best interview I've had. 5 minutes talking about work and 1 and a quarter hours talking bikes. All interviews should be like this
I have to come down to Kent for my induction and get my new car, better not piss any of the South East crew off before then

Cheers all. Kev, remind me again what it is your after and what you were doing at uni. The place I'm in for another week might be right up your street. I could ask around for you. It's only 10 mins from you

I should be down in Bromley on the 6th but I'm still waiting on confirmation.
Kev, I'm working for Balfour Kilpatrick accross from the Dean Park hotel in renfrew, I'll see if I can find a contact in personnel for you. Might be handy to have.

Exactly the same thing happened to me when I got my first interview for a "proper" job. Very nervous about the whole thing but preliminary questions about what I'd been doing in the summer were asked to calm me down.
Just so happened I'd come back from the most awesome holiday with a mate in the south of france - him on a gixer 750 me on my old ZZR. That was it. This Director was into bikes, (by the way, she had a Blade- was stunning and I wanted her to be my girlfirend. Shame she was married). We talked for about 45 mins about places we'd like to go on bikes and other related stuff, then we rushed through the compulsory questions, all of which were prefaced by "well, you're obviously OK, but I have to fill the form in with something...."
Got the offer the next day. Bikes? Can't beat them!
Congrats!
