New Old Storm

Hey,
By way of a belated introduction, storm an all
One fine queensland morning in early 2010.
Walked across the road from work one morning to see a dumped firestorm in the auction rooms. Not long later I "had a little accident honey" and came home with a bent firestorm. I'd test ridden a new one in '98 the day before a bought an '85 Hailwood Mille. Both were memorable experiences but the pure unadulterated rawity(I just made that up) of the firestorm stayed with me.
I am a member on Ozfirestorm and the US Superhawk forums, both provided a lot of help with this journey.
Added and messed with as I could
Came with a K&N cleaner, busted fairings, oggy knobs, pipes, screen, indicators bars and a massive fencepost type dent in the tank.
Tank panel beated with hot melt and a crow bar (to half a teaspoon of bog and the cadmium plating within untouched) All good til I got busted under the house using a gas torch on a fuel tank. (reckons it was stoopid, wtf wood she know?)
Gauge cluster and fairing support aligned
Crow barred rear subframe...(mebbe heated and beated it a bit)
Youtubed plastic welding and repaired fairing cracks and splits galore, yehar gas torch, soldering iron and cable ties (the good black ones as filler rods)
Realigned fairing brackets
Frame aligned (storms are adjustable you know?)
Seat cowl
Yellow 2pak (Bike and driveway)
02 GSXR1000 front calipers
Braided front brake lines
Tickled front shocks and heavier fork oil (ATF)
Made a fork brace
Made Bar ends repaired clipons
6mm spacer under rear shock
Extended the stand with a machined stainless puck (don't leave rust stains no more)
95kg front springs
Multiple exhaust phucarounds... once tried the rear half of a stock one straight on the the collector...yeh, don't do that unless you want pretty impressive economy but a very limited top end. (strangled the poor thing down to 210 but near 300 on a tank)
2018 rebuild
Orange 2pak (NEVER will I paint it again, EVERYTHING in the shed is Orange)
Brake and clutch reservoirs replaced and systems bled
Clutch slave kitted
Pairs removed
Ape CCT's
TPS 518ohm
Dynojet kit
Carb vents fixerated (phase two is f them out of the air box)
Lower fairing. Painted sanded polished bla bla installed... removed, dont like it)
Commodore side light indicators (with snotty led's)
Paint and decals...decision pending on decals (still pending)
Petkok seals
Fork seals/oil
Fender eliminated
USB outlet and voltmeter
Wheel bearings and cush drive
Big high loud custom pipes
Impossible rear pegs (compliance requirement but useless, (don't often two up 4 yr olds)
Glass wrapped primaries (uht paint to lock it on)
Led lights everywhere, fitting rear facing eagle eyes as additional indicators in stock tail lamp
Vent lights (Orange halo's att and a forward spotlight indicator using the silly fairing vents that do eff all
DMR Rear Shock (effin bargain)
15/43 530 chain
Speedo healer
