Quick update.
Victor running fab...put a few thousand hundred miles on this year (yes, pathetic), but loving it!
I did put the standard clip-on bars back on though, as I found that the angle of the VFR bars I'd fitted caused wrist ache after about a day's riding.
Slight neck ache now on long rides with the standard bars, but overall better with less wrist ache

Is the front end off of a TLR or something else? Still running the infamous rotary shock or has it been swapped out? Looks very nice

Completely different feel to the Firestorm....everything is 'harder'. Good fun for short blasts, but wouldn't want to do any distance on it
Rotary shock binned, and replaced with a Maxton damper, alongside a Hyperpro spring unit.
Braced swingarm is from a TLR.

Front legs are from a GSXR1000K4, so I get the benefit of the radial callipers.
Rotary shock binned, and replaced with a Maxton damper, alongside a Hyperpro spring unit.

Unfortunately, my wrists and neck are getting worse, so I'll be selling off my bikes with low bars in the Spring
So, if anyone here would like an excellent condition, low mileage, fully sorted Storm, send me a message.
I'll be advertising the bike widely in Spring, but thought I'd give members here a chance to buy in advance at a lower price of £2000 (no offers).

The tyres are almost un-used Michelin PR3 tyres, but were fitted in Dec 2015 by previous owner before he laid the bike up. No cracks or hardening, and 'feel' fine to me, although I was going to upgrade them to PR6s before next Summer if I was keeping the bike.
Bike will come with following spares:
Supersprox Stealth 42T rear sprocket, new never fitted as OEM sprocket is still perfect.
The standard exhaust cans in excellent condition
Standard front brake master cylinder and lever in excellent working condition.
OEM CCTs which were working perfectly, and only changed as a precaution.
Spare OEM vacuum fuel tap from Mac (not tested).
Original seat fitting hooks.
Original clutch lever.
Original progressive fork springs.
Original fork protectors
Spare OEM flasher relay (wasn't needed once the switch was cleaned out)
New #48 pilot jets...discovered carbs already had #48s fitted.

I did think about Renthal handlebars, and have done exactly that on my ZZR1400, which although comfortable, does mean I lose a lot of steering lock to get clearance. I imagine it'll be the same on my VTR, as I really don't want to trim the fairing ears.
Anyway, no rush to sell, and if no-one buys it here, and I still have the bike come Spring, I'll have a hard think about it.
I did think about Renthal handlebars, and have done exactly that on my ZZR1400, which although comfortable, does mean I lose a lot of steering lock to get clearance. I imagine it'll be the same on my VTR, as I really don't want to trim the fairing ears.

Yes it does reduce the steering lock on the Storm you're right. I only intended to fit the stops on the steering until I was sure I was happy with the Renthal handlebar conversion first before chopping the ears off the fairing. I am more than happy with the handlebar conversion, but the steering stops still remain so far. True, I would most certainly prefer limited steering lock than ear chopping!
