What size?
Any type of cover people have found last for longer than year or so, without
falling apart in the super hot English sun?

I use Oxford Stormex, but they only last about a year, as the adhesive on the seams goes dry and they then leak.
Still the best I've used though.
All covers are bad for trapping condensation in winter unfortunately.
I also use a Storm Protector framed tent thing for another bike. This works better, especially with a Stormex cover on the bike too, and an 80W electric tube heater on a timer.

I use a garage.
It keeps the rain off quite well, and is showing no signs of UV deterioration.

I have a Armadillo cover which is pretty good, they have 3 sizes available, this is the largest and has I have 2 project bikes inside comfortably. It’s less than a year old but seems pretty sturdy and durable.

I have one of those too, but it's full of bikes

Actually I have two garages, but didn't want to flaunt my privileges.
Suggest you get a second garage.
Or buy a posh bike that you can keep in the living room, freeing up space in your garage for the everyday ones.
