Whats going on this year in Yorkshire and Humberside? Been riding these roads for 20 years with very few problems and been stopped 3 times in a month.
Once on the road approaching Wetwang, once on the Goole to Crowle Road( today), and once going up Sutton Bank towards Helmsley(3 points and £60 fine).
Always on a Sunday, I'm starting to think is really worth all the hassle.
Ta,
Hamish

Yes it does make you wonder sometimes, the trouble is the motorist is an instant cash machine and I do know how you feel,
Chris.

No.1 motorcyclists' rule...
Never speed on a Sunday.
I think that's an international one...

One of the reasons I prefer to ride on a Sat or midweek. Nice run home on "the Putty". Average 160-170 kmh. Wooo Hooo.

Hamish,
Got to agree that it's getting a little silly around those parts, I have found myself leaving the bike in the garage on the weekend and going out during the week after work. Next to no one around and alot better. It's also funny that if i go out on the bonneville with straight through pipes on no one bats an eye, just get comment like "sounds like a proper bike" anything else and it's "noisey bas*$ard!!".

You lucky lucky man, Larry. The Putty has got to be enough to make living in/near Sydney worthwhile! Looking at riding down to Phillip Island this year, so might be able to fit a quick down & up & down & up & down in en route.

It's been too long...

I used to work nights, 4am finish, and I got into the habit of riding in the morning after finishing work. I can't quite muster the enthusiasm to get up at 4 on a Sunday, but I still enjoy early morning rides.
I was out before 7am yesterday, back home by 9 after doing 120 miles round the Welsh borders. No traffic, no police and still cool enough to be comfortable in leathers.
No, it's not worth the hassle of riding round well known biker's haunts on a sunny Sunday afternoon, early morning is where it's at.
