Its hot

Had my storm about 6 months now. Do they usually run hot (ie the cooling fan comes on at this time of the year during a commute home, and the temp gauge reads over 50%) or is there a potential problem with mine? All systems seem to be operating correctly.

Sounds fine to me. The fan should come on at half way on the guage and it will heat up a lot when stationary.

Yep sounds about right. On my 02 bike the normal running temp is about 79-80 but in traffic this regularly goes over 100.
