Morning people, Our first frost of the year this morning, not to bad but not a cloud in the sky.Great biking weather! But im off to work, bugger. And yes im on my VTR. Its only 8 ks and half thru town limits but better than nothing. by the way I live in Invercargill which is as far south as you can go in NZ.

Hi, thanx for the reply, in the north of the north island it can be similar to oz, how ever im at the south of the south island ( about 2000ks from top to bottom) our weather can be extreme ( similar to your weather i think), long cold winter, bugger all summer. But we do have terrific winding roads, can be biker heaven on a good day, pretty good the rest of the time too.

all i know its still ruddy cold on the ol' fingers at 6 in the morning when i'm on the way home

NZ gets heaps colder than OZ. They get great snow though

Oh and they have some awesome roads that I would just love to have a go on. A camper van just doesn't handle well enough

I believe it gets pretty cold in them there deserts at night, but yes Stew you are right, it can be colder here. Snows overrated ( i dont/cant ski) however I visit central Otago /Queenstown 3-4 times a year for bike runs (try like hell to never go into queenstown its self, but theyused to run bike rallies at Glenorchy, only acessable by going thru the township, Very overloaded with tourists busses and contents all ohhing and arring all over the place) mainly in the summer, however I have one more brass monkey to go to get my 10 year badge, so hope the weathers on my side this year. Sorry to hear of your wee opps, nothing too bad I hope. Ps our Brass monkey attracts 1000 to 1500 Bikers every year in June to central Otago which aint bad for a total population of around 4 million odd..... and some are very odd

Let me know in advance and I will be there for sure!! We just need to find someone with a shitload of Storms they have to hire out
