Well you can tell the good weathers here , i went out for about 60miles yesterday and got Kamikazed by every type of insect in the UK.
My jacket helmet and bike looked like a 15 year old had been squidgin his spots on us , everytime i lifted my visor a fly would hit me in the left eye within milliseconds , always the left eye and when i got to my m8s workshop for a cuppa there were 2 wasps stuck in my chin vent , and to top it all id been there for over half an hour when i found one of the little stripey feckers had set up home in my t shirt

And i can only see it getting worse :x

Going out again in a while , well after ive scrubbed all the dead bodies of my visor

I always carry a pack of alchohl free baby wipes, takes the squidgy little feckers right off.

There's a lot of force behind a hawk moth at 100 mph too.

dookie, was thinking just the same yesterday. Riding home from antwerp a run of only 30mins, I had to stop 2x to clear the visor :/ I swear one splat was a flying cat, I've never seen so much blood and guts in a fly/bee/wasp before.. Looks like it's going to be a good season if this is just the start..

Got home and looked like I'd just run through a paintball game.

The kids like it though, they check out the front of the bike and try to do a waspcount :D

yes, kill as many of them as possible so nobody has to do the dreaded "pootling along with visor up with sudden wasp in helmet" dance.

it would appear tho' for me the local pigeon population has taken a "hit" out on me and currently using me as a moving dive bombing target :x

I will soon be having to take a pillion with me armed with a air rifle as a rear gunner!!

so selfish of them to splat themselves on my visor. I find by the end of a long journey ive got only a little hole to peer through

plus it means i gotta give the front of the bike a good scrub before i lock her away for the night

I've been stung on the chest twice by bees, they hit the visor and drop into my shirt and sting me. Lucky I'm not allergic. I didn't think you guys had that many insects over there. Any time you see poms here, they're always carrying on about how they're scared and squealing when a dangerous moth flys near them.

Three weeks ago, bugs a plenty (obviously not as big/splattery/squishy/juicy or tasty as english/aussie ones) however they did impair my vision. So I cleaned them off with water at every fuel stop. That foiled the little buggers,

Just be greatfull your weather is getting rideable... ours is on the decline now    so out with thermals etc..

However it cuts down the insect problem.... increases the cattle, sheep, deer, pig, and f..n dogs tho..
