The Culmination

For the last 8 months, I've been organising a massive joy-ride to raise money for a crisis centre here, run by the Salvos. It's sapped all my energy & most of my time, particularly in the last couple of months. It's finally happening this Sunday & I can't wait for it to be over.

Basically, riders come, volunteering their time, bikes & fuel and the public pay a fee to play pillion on whatever bike (or rider) they like for a police escorted ride in a group.

Last year was the first one & we had about 100 bikes. It went really well & judging by the feedback, this one will be bigger & better (except hopefully this year, that learner guy on the CBR250 won't drop his bike downhill & knock a brand new Harley over... 8O ).

So here's hoping it all goes smoothly. I tell you what though, planning a wedding is a cinch!

Hi Norma Here

Keep up the good work, girl. Doing work for charity can be demanding and exhausting, something the public don'e realise.

You are a wee gem as one of the orginisers, as they have to put 200% in, making it more tiring.

But its all worth while in the end.

Stupid comment, but I hope you get a really good day for it and all goes well. All the best.

Thanks guys. It really has been a huge effort, and just to top off the stress levels, I finally quit my job yesterday. Two weeks to go! Wheeee.

Anyway, I've gone & slept funny or something & my neck is totally cactus (I'm hoping, just temporarily...), so that will add a lovely twist to my day tomorrow (literally  ).

Thanks for the encouragement! It's all in God's hands now...
