A couple of questions for the down under members.
There is a 50/50 chance that I may have to go to Melbourne for a few days next week, for work.
What is temperature at moment, how cold is winter, thermals or an extra tshirt.
ANy good places to go, I can remember the Casino and the pie and floater van from many years ago.
Any suggestions well recieved.
all the best

G'day mate, I'm from Sydney and it's bloody cold this year. 7 degrees the other day!! Well in the morning anyway, warmed up to 17 later on. Melbourne is a bit colder though I'd definitely pack some winter woollies. As for sites, if you can get hold of a bike do the Great Ocean Road, it's well worth it.

I'm in warm & sunny Queensland & it's been gettin' a tad chilly up here. Melbourne will definitely require the thermals. Probably nothing compared to Winter over there, but it's a pretty miserable city, weather-wise.
Make like a Scout & be prepared.

Thanks for the replies, thermals it is then, if I go. I was meant to be on the 1220 flight today from Heathrow but the job was put back yesterday morning to some time next week, so I'll be on my way then unless another job pops up in between.
T shirt doing good Kaz, been washed loads of times at home no probs, I washed it myself on a ship the other day and managed to turn the whites pink. Washing instructions need to be the same as ones of my son's tshirts 'Hey bitch wash this shirt', then I might manage.
Time for 1st ride of the month!!!!!
