new zip

does anyone know where i could get a new zip put on my leather jacket , i asked jeeves but he not know :wink:

There is a place in Southend Essex and another place in south London. They both do repairs and alteration, but I not sure how much use they will be with you being in Scotland

thanks guys i will keep trying local places trouble is there is a folded stipe across the front which makes the jacket 4 bits o leather thick and thus nae bugg*r wants to have a go

anyone with a sewing machine that can handle thick leather will be able to do it piece of cake.

ask tailors, leather workers etc... look in the yellow pages.

theres a place called Unique Leathers in Hull that will do any sort of repair, they also do made to measure stuff at very reasonable prices

its my kinky stuff thats needing a new zip (hope no body eating at the monent) :roll:

i have a few adresses now and a few prices £40 for heavy zip trouble is the postage £11 each way , so its starting to get dear perhaps you could run it through your sewing machine kitch ??? :?:

sadly, mine won't do leather... only PVC, and rubber :)
