Sat Nav/Autocom advice

Post by ubermod »

Hi,

Just a quick question hopefully. I'm running a lead from the handlebars to the underseat for a sat nav to an autocom under the seat.

Am I OK running it through the space between the tank and the "engine" or should I try and run it further down through the frame where the other leads disappear?

My only worry is the heat melting the cable, but there seems to be at least one wire running under there.

I've not fitted either yet, so I'm assuming its OK to connect them both direct to the battery terminals.

Cheers
Paul

I had the wire to my heated grips running along the r/h frame rail under the tank for over 2 years without problem, and before that in the same position on my Bandit!
