I've done the double forward's on a honda g5 it's easy.
The Austin 1100 i hit did'nt fair to well or my passenger or me or my bike,
both Bob and myself had 3 day's in hospital and the bike was written off.
I'm sure if thier was an audience i'd have got a round of aplause.

i dont think the storm is easy to wheelie
ive had mine 6 mths now (4 of which it has been in the dealers workshop) but ive never wheelied it
is it possible to wheely it just by cracking open the throttle?

jeez cant wheelie a litre twin i can wheelie my zx6 ninja by cracking the throttle an it got factory set gearing ratios if you wanna wheelie it then when you change your chain and sprockets either go on down on the front or a few up on the rear will give you a quicker acceleration but drop top speed but if all you want is front higher than your elbows then thats wot id do as can be a bit dodgy from clutch wheelies aint the safest way i find

O0O0 ANOTHER WHEELIE THREAD...AND IM IN.
1) The storm is not hard to wheelie -- its a V-twin, all that torque means it pops up nicely, even as standard. If you can wheelie it your doing something wrong!
2) roll on, 1st gear power up wheelie. Find a stretch of road thats straight, level and quiet. Roll along in first gear at around 3-4k revs. Then as quick as you can snap the throttle all the way open and the front WILL rise! (when ive got my storm back ill do a vid for those of you who cant wheelie if you want)
3) balance point is KEY to a good wheelie but it takes pratice pratice pratice, it took me about 2 weeks of daily pratice to get it. This time frame will be different for different indivuals

Dont do this!! Learn to wheelie your bike stock, that way you will be better at it and when you do change ratios you will learn to "use" it that much more!
The VTR will come up on the clutch but this is a bit pointless as its snatchy and theres plenty of power to do this without the lever usage. However at speeds above 60-70 you have to really clutch it to rise. I find a yank of the bars at this speed is essential!
As for pastrama, hes a STAR, whatch some of his other vids, hes elite! Carrey Heart is also worth checking out, he pulled the first offical backflip! Google video search his name!
They pratice loads to get the tricks and crash LOTS!!! This is the only way with a sport like this and all riders will have injuries?

I've got to say that I've not tried to wheelie my storm. I know the storm sits up when you accelerate hard but I've not cracked it open hard enuff to wheelie it yet
I used to pop wheelies on my CB250 and 500 but Im just a bit worried about flipping the storm or putting it down the road.
I was just wondering if it was possible to wheelie it using just the throttle or whether you had to mess around with dumping the clutch too.
C'mon guys... i'm still getting used to the storm at the moment.... i haven't long taken the stabilisers off.

Craigy- dont worry you wont flip it because the storms got loads of torque, just let off the throttle and it will come back down! Plus you wont be 12'ing on your first try i dont think!

Have you tried 150mph highchairs???? Why not your bike will do it!
Your extra weight and height will make a difference. The more weight above the back wheel and the further back it is changes the CoG thus the PtW ratio. This will make wheelies easier for you! :-)
If you overtook the wife on the back wheel in 2nd without clutching it up, case it point! Personally i suspect it was the quickshift from 1st to 2nd that raised the head as this is common on the storm if you quick shift and get it right!
