Im sorry but i just cant sympathize..its' like lighting a ciggie whilst filling up with petrol..you just MIGHT.. lose all your' skin..the very least ive' ever worn on the bike has been T-shirt....leather bike jacket.....armoured jeans....and my paddock boots....I know its not compulsory to wear PPE. on the bike..
but jesus people.. what a ridiculously easy No-brainer this issue is...isnt just riding a motorcycle on the road risky enough....

I'll be the first to admit I've ridden with just tee shirt and shorts myself many years ago, (young and stupid) but I wouldn't do it now :!:

Always have some sympathy. Not even you are perfect and we WILL all make a stupid mistake or bad judgement call one day :)

How can you forget your leavthers?
You make a decision to pick you keys up and ride your bike. It's not like forgeting to turn your lights on when driving the car. Or forgeting to puty the rubbish out the night before!

See also this month's BIKE mag to see what jeans did for one of their guys...

Seeing that picture of the girl in the link just makes me shiver.

I wont ride without leathers full stop, unfortunately i learnt the hard way when i was a lad, went out in jeans and fell off resulting in some nicely gravel rashed legs !

My other half is a stickler for me wearing leathers. Shes an A&E nurse, so has seen far too many injuries from people riding with shorts, tracksuit bottoms or jeans on. Albeit she only comes out on the bike once or twice a year, she still has her own leathers and always wears them .... Plus, it makes her butt look lovely !

And lets me honest, leathers aren't all that expensive these days. You can pick up a half decent set of leather for around £200-£300. Yes they may not be the most protective, but are a damn sight better than jeans.
