Agreed.
He only went on to sell a few more crap songs.
I bet £5 he re-releases "when i need love" within 4 weeks
And it'll reach #32 and he'll never be seen again.....

Aye... at first I thought he was alright, but now I think he is a bit of a gimp. Any man who whinges like that over washing his own cacks deserves a bit of slagging

(Not that I watch BB of course....ahem....cough)

Leo Sayer is a doooood. Or at least he was about 20 years ago...
I'm a little afraid to ask, but I must... What's a "cack"?

another word for "crap" etc
I know there is a good deal of difference between US English and English English, such as pants, rubber, vest etc. Is there much difference between Oz English and English English, or is this a peridiscombobulation?

Yes there can be quite a bit of difference between Oz English and English English.

Thanks for that enlightened comment

Why are you so keen to find out, Timbo? Thinking of looking him up?
I had thought that may have been the meaning of the whole "cack" thing, but figured it couldn't have been, considering the context...
Oh well, Big Brother is as Big Brother does, I guess.
And yes, as Larry says, there does seem to be a fair bit of difference between English & the "cack" we use most of the time over here. Don't think we're quite as bad as the US, but we're working on it!

He lives in Oz?
Cool! I'll look him up & invite him 'round for some Billy Tea & Damper
No idea if he's that way inclined or not. You could join a gay forum & ask... Or you could just accept that you're wife is probably right. That's usually the case.

Re: "cacks",
i think pmqc was talking about underwear...as in a man winging about washing his own underwear...not crap. i've heard the word used for both right enough.
i'll keep ya right VTRgirl...lol, and your asking the english how they speak their own language.

ask a scotsman...it been proven we speak it better...

Thanks Kev
There's a high possibility I'll be heading UKward in the not-too-distant future for some well-earned hol's, so I'd best brush up on the language so I don't look a right tw@t (another term rarely used here...). I won't exactly be bringing my Storm with me, but I expect to put a few faces to names while I'm there! Details are sketchy at the mo', but I've got a good friend who's in Ireland for the next year or so & figure the timing's right for me to finally head over for a looky-see. I'm guessing if I do a course or two while I'm there (Ireland's highly regarded for it's post-grad nursing studies), the tax man might sponsor me to some extent...
Anyway, I'll be sure to keep you all posted, so you'll have plenty of time to either come out of your hidey-holes & say hello, or think of an excuse not to.
My plan is to use as many of you as possible for cheap accommodation
