I used to have tiscali, the worst broadband supplier i have ever had, always had technical problems and couldnt get online then they even tried charging me for using it when we wasnt even able to.

I would tell your daughter to go elsewhere

Yep been there I lasted 2 months  then moved to BT never ever had a problem and they have just reduced mine to £12 per month for good behaviour :D

guy at work bought a new laptop with Tiscali as part of the package, within a month he had to have the hard drive replaced and they were not to keen on support, had to send laptop to local service centre then charged him for downloading his saved stuff to their drive/server. On return to Acer it was found that the same hard drive had been put back in.

He gets intermittent connection with Tiscali, not very good support even tho he bought from Tiscali web site.

Hi Alan,

Be very careful when picking a ISP :!:

Especially as most of them lock you into a 12mth contract.

Do a check on any supplier you are considering in Google.See link, I have just done one for you for Tiscali:-

Personally I think you get what you pay for :!:

Might wanna look into Virgin Media

Since their last round of mergers and aquisitions, she might get a good deal on a package. Cable TV, phone, mobile and internet in one deal.

I've been with Pipex for a few years now. Very good.

I use Zen.

Really good. Doesn't go down. Static IP address (if that's important- it is to me for some things), knowledgeable and helpful support, no cost for tec support.

Not cheap @ £25 per month (8mb) but, you don't get what you don't pay for!

On Vigin at the mo,
never been a problem and they are very helpful. Had a modem go down and they sent a replacement staight away.
