HONDA XR 400

Anyone know owt about them.........any good or are they prone to breakdown.............

Ive heard the engines are bomb proof one of the best off road/on road bikes going i'm also in the market for one myself and my son has a honda trx400 quad which uses the xr400 lump plenty of grunt and had no probs what so ever.Valve clearances are a piss easy job to do.

Pretty good all rounders. Will never keep up with the crf's (phoar!) but longer lived. Ie don't have to do the top end every 15 hours! Regular oil changes and stick to the service schedule and you can't go wrong.

Prices dropped a lot since Honda stopped making them. All stock gone now! 'Phone around to see if there's any pre-reg left, but you'll be lucky to find one.

My moneys going on a crf though!

insurance is due on 18th feb...............loads of money.......bloody camaras
