Right, well I'm off for a contract out whoop whoop for a bit. Not long, but I'm sure you'll miss me... Right? Well, my cat will, anyway...

I'm off to an eeeny weeeeny little town called Milmerran to run the hospital on nights for a bit over a week. Even though it's a small place, it's kinda on the way to places & having an emergency facility, I might score some nasty trauma if I'm lucky... ummm... I mean, that would be terrible, of course... but it would help me stay awake for the shift.

Anyway, they throw in air-con accommodation & all my meals, plus the bonus? There's a big power station, which is pretty much the crux of the town's employment, so I'm expecting a good bit o' man shoppin' while I'm there

Bloody man shopping was non-existent. Headed down to the pub on Friday arvo, figuring there'd be the usual early-knock-off-from-work-Friday-arvo-drinkies guys there, but alas... three old fellas playing the pokies & that was it, so I had a game of pool by myself & went back to the nurses' quarters. Now, I know the nurses' quarters sounds like a lot of fun to most of you (hopefully excepting Kaz...), but it aint. This one is basically an old demountable (no mountable jokes please ) thing split into a few dingy rooms with very noisy air-cons hanging out of it all over the place.

Been getting a maximum 2 hours sleep every day since I left, so I've done the big ride home today to sleep in my own bed. Ahhhhhh... which is where I'm heading in a sec.

Couldn't sleep without checking in on the mad house! It's already coming up to 10am & I have to head back out this arv, so g'nite all... "See" you again in a few days.

Edit... Oh, and I haven't had any decent emergencies yet either, although I did get to tell a copper off . He was unnecessarily bugging one of my patients (that he'd just brought in with the ambos), so I told him off & kicked him out. Been riding very slowly since then... but it was worth it.

Worked my eight nights straight, then spent the next day sitting in yet another hospital, by the side of a friend who'd been deliberately hit by a car (GO the attempted murder charge ) while he was on a pushbike. He'll be alrighty in the long run. The very long run.

Then spent the ninth night at Sexpo! Woohoo. Don't know if you guys have Sexpo, but if not, I'm sure you can imagine the details. Lots of horny people & lots of fun.

Got home at 2:30am & the rest is zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
