Scam or not?

Has anyone else been receiving a phone call where a guy is telling you you have a message, it's nothing to worry about, it's actually a nice message, too hear it you need to ring 0800------------ or something similar to that :?:

I think it actually is a scam, but normally they try to trick you into ringing a number (which costs a fortune if you fall for it) that does not start with an 0800 number, which as you know is meant to be a free phone number :!:

Any ideas :?:

Cheers,

Chris.

Hi Chris
I've had the same call this week as well. I've just ignored it. If someone is going to phone me and tell me they have a message for me they can tell me then and there.
Definitley a scam as far as I'm concerned.

Chris

I'll go with what Pete says, I got the same message last night and I have removed my number from the marketing lists so it is most likely a scam.

The same scam is going about with the royal mail-----------

A ticket is left through your letter box from a dodgy courier service asking you to phone this number to arrange for the parcel to be delivered, if you ring the number you have already been charged 15 pound + for the call.

i only know this as i have seen the warnings in our local post office.
