1584 cc or 96 cu in, supposed to have 107 BP and 127 nm torque at 3,500 revs, but no rev counter.
Highish bars, mid pegs, mpg seems to average 54 mpg. Engine is quite smooth very few vibs but at lights front wheel bounces and looks cool.
Handles supprisingly well, and the front does lift.........if you change up a bit harsh with a handful the front lifts, not a real wheelie but more umph than i was expecting. Ride the torque and it goes quick, no real ground clearence. Dont need keys to start as long as they are within 8 feet of the bike it will start.
I've had bikes faster than me, blackbird, storm, gsxr1000 and guess what this Harley is more fun than any of them.........cant quite say what it is though or why but its fun. Cant see me ever changing this one (wife would not let me anyway) If any of you get a chance to try one you should.
The vtr is still tops but..........variety is the spice of life.
When was the last time you got 170 miles from a tank full ?

I'm surprised at the MPG for the amount of cubes and torque you have. I didn't realise they came with a fancey ignition key. It sounds like you're quite at home with it. Nice to know you're enjoying it. I can certainly understand why Mrs Rainmaker prefers it to the previous bikes. Mrs L hasn't even been on the back of the SP yet (she just looks at the rear seat pad and says "No way")
I can't see myself owning one but I wouldn't mind a spin if the offer ever came up. Most harley's are great to look at but I would be afraid to get it wet after some of the stories I've heard about their finish (I guess you can give us an update on that next spring )

Key fob is remote......dont need to press anything. There is a steering lock on steering head. An on/off switch on tank console which has a key............now when key is removed the key fob will allow bike to start only if it is within 8 feet of the bike. The good news is when you stop for petrol etc there is no fiddling for keys. However if some scumbag is trying to steal your bike it wont start.......untill you run towards it, when you get 8 feet away it will fire into life and the thief will roar off laughing.

Finish........well I ride in all weathers done 3,000 miles so far and the only thing to rust is one nut and bolt on an exhaust clamp. Nothing has come loose, belt drive lasts 30 to 40,000 miles and costs about £100. First service free, otherwise every 5,000 miles at about £195 - £300.

Oh my golly 54 mpg......thats at 70 to 90 mph.

Good to see that your enjoying life on a Harley Paul, We will have to meet up at some point and have a ride out.
